What a brilliant turnout for the fun day on Saturday, fantastic to see so many happy kids there. Thanks to the mums & dads, carers, grannies & grandads for bringing all the children along and making it a worthwhile event.

Lots of locals helped make this happen, donations received from local businesses and residents, to the pipe band and marshalls at the inflatables, volunteers serving the popcorn & candy floss, juice & crisps and of course the local community policeman who stepped in to be the goalie! Not to forget the council workers who cut the grass especially for the day & who set up the marquees.

Birkenside really is a community to be proud of.
